Feature Update: Cleaner Email Workflows, Faster Search, and Unified Address Book History

We’ve given HireHop’s email management a huge upgrade! From a sleeker composer interface to centralised communication logs inside your Address Book, managing client conversations across your entire rental operation is now faster, clearer and more intuitive.

What’s New in Your Email Hub

1. Centralised Address Book Email History

No more digging through individual job files to trace past conversations. The Address Book now features a dedicated Emails tab that consolidates every message sent to or received from a contact or company, whether it originated from a Job, Project, or direct contact card.

How to view emails in the Address Book:

1. Navigate to Address Book from the top menu.
2. Select your desired company or contact person.
3. Click the Emails tab in the top navigation bar.
4. Use the drop-down filters to toggle between communications for the entire company or a specific contact.

2. Modern Email Reader & Instant Previews

Reading email threads and finding key details is now seamless. The updated preview pane displays full email bodies directly beneath your list without opening extra windows.

• Sender Avatars & Source Badges: Instantly see sender initials/profile pictures and check whether an email originated from a Job or Project (with direct links back to Job # or Project #).
  
• Quick-Access Attachment Chips: Downloadable file attachments now appear as clean, actionable chips at the top of the message body.
  
• Toolbar Quick Actions: Reply, forward, delete, or download .eml files in a single click from the preview header.

How to preview emails:

1. Click on any email in your grid to display its contents in the preview pane below.
2. Click Show Preview / Hide Preview in the top toolbar to toggle your reading layout.

3. Enhanced Search & Performance

We’ve overhauled backend email indexing to make finding past communications effortless, even across large databases.

• Search instantly across recipient names, email addresses, subjects, or dates.
• Enjoy noticeably faster load times when loading extensive email logs.

4. Streamlined Composer & Customisable Grids

We’ve modernised the email composer across Jobs, Projects and Contacts to keep your workspace clutter-free while giving you total control over your layout.

• Hidden CC/BCC Fields: CC and BCC fields remain hidden by default to maximise your editing workspace, expanding easily via a single toggle or + BCC button when needed.
  
• Drag-and-Drop Integration: Attach files or save external emails by dragging them straight from desktop clients like Microsoft Outlook and Mozilla Thunderbird into your message window.
  
• Saved Column Preferences: Customise your list layout by clicking the Gear icon (⚙️) in the top-right toolbar to toggle CC and BCC columns. Your grid preferences save automatically to your user profile.

How to compose and customise:

1. Click Send Email from any Job, Project, or Contact page to open the compose window.
2. Type recipient names to trigger instant auto-complete suggestions.
3. Click + BCC to expand hidden recipient fields as needed.
